Picked up the RS4 yesterday and surprise, surprise the damage on the alloy wheels were missed on the 147 report!!!

There is a scuff on one of the alloys and the other alloys have some lacquer peel.

After a heated discussion with the supplying dealer we have agreed to put them to an independent wheel repair centre that I trust and get them refurbished or replaced if they can't rectify them.

As they are diamond cut it means you have only 2 refurbishments and it looks like one of them has been refurbished already. Means I have no lives lefr if we damage them.

Amazingly the Audi dealership could not tell me how much replacement alloys were!!!

Anyone know how much replacements V spokes are from Audi? Also a guess at what cost price would be to the dealer?

George

That's a shame Gearge, did you not check the vehicle condition on your test drive? Still not good though and as you quite rightly say, there's a little box for them to tick for wheel run out, scuffs etc.

Booner.

I'd have disagreed with you about just painting the alloys, as until the other day I'd not seen any I liked. Then this car popped up and thought the silver V-Spokes were quite smart and liked them.

Unfortunately the car had just travelled up from down south when we had the test drive. I specifically asked them not to prepare the car as I wanted to see how the original owner kept the car. Due to the weather the car was caked so did not get a close inspection of the wheels.

Not ticks on the 147 for the alloys. Call me synical but there was tyre gel over the rims so not obvious until I removed the residue. Made sure I brought a mate so we could go over it with a fine toothcomb.

Will see what the outcome is from the wheel renovator say but would rather have the info in case we need to fight our corner with the dealer

Well, went to the alloy wheel specialist today and he has indicated that one of the diamond cut alloy wheels cannot be cut any more. Therefore the dealer will need to replace the alloy wheel which I know they will not be happy about considering they retail for £1092.68 seemingly

I have emailed the dealership so will see what happens from here !!!
