Had the test drive on Sunday and car was pretty much as described so providing a couple of other checks come back ok we should hopefully be the proud owners.

The dynamic steering felt a little bit strange and unnatural compared to the previous car which did not have it. Believe this is the one area which draws a lot of criticism but as there will be very little/no cars with sports suspension, exhaust etc minus dynamic steering then its just something we will have to get used to or modify in the individual settings.

Did not check the tyre depth as I forgot my gauge but did ask that if they have to replace the tyres then I get a choice of which brand as I have heard on here the standard Pirelli's are not the best. If I am lucky enough that there is less than 3mm left, what brand would be recommended?

Thanks. Noticed the new RS4 had Dunlops on it so was suspecting the choice would either be Michelin's or Dunlops.

Unfortunately I got the 147 report back today and the tyre depth is 4.4mm, pity as a new set of boots would have been an extra bonus.

However I will make sure that I take my tyre gauge with me when I pick it up on Saturday after hearing about some complaints on the 147 check.
