I have noticed a couple of times now, sometimes when i give it a hard poke in second (revving it out), it sometimes splutters around 6500 rpm and feels like its hitting the limiter....manually changing it into 3rd stops the splutter but surely it should rev cleanly through second into 3rd. It does not do it all the time, and has only done it when pushed hard. Its been in auto mode each time its done this.

Car was at operating temps when this has happened as i never give it a kick in the bum until its right warmed up.

Fuel is always 98 ron. I will pull its logs with VCDS a bit later to see if they assist but not sure what to look for or where apart from the full scan results..

Any ideas what this could be?

Car is in dynamic mode, not sure if this helps nail it down...

45 reads on my post but no reply .....surely one of you more experienced tuners can shed some light on this or offer hints on nailing this down....

took it out for a evening drive tonight, and was unable to reproduce the hesitation i posted about here. I think i will change service stations for my fuel source. I have been mainly using Mobil from up the road. Will swap to Shell and see how it goes. The only other thing that comes to mind is perhaps the plugs need replacing.

Would fouled plugs cause this sort of thing intermittently?

on a side note, took it through a tunnel on the way and opened it up, then wound it back down, so glad I finally let myself get a V8

Yes Shell V max or Nitro as its now called or Tesco 99 ron it the most used on here

Changed to Shell and car seems much happier, thanks for the tip

np i use Tesco 99 mostly as its just round the corner hope the car runs smoothly now it has something decent to drink
