intermittent rattle on start up

I have had my B8 for about a year now, 2103 with 35k on the clock and have only noticed this within the past few months. It only makes this rattle on start up in certain conditions, ie mainly when the car has been left for an hour or so. When its stone cold it makes the usual noises they all do which is perfectly normal, and on a hot start, no noise at all. I will try and record and post the sound but it sounds like oil starvation to the head? last about 2/3 seconds but its a proper metallic rattle and nothing like the cold start normal rattle. Any ideas?

I have this also, sounds like cam chain, but lasts for less than a second and when car is warm.

i have read a thread on this somewhere but I can't remember where, general consensus was that it's the hydraulic lifters taking a bit of time to get up to pressure.

I had a bad rattle on start up which was the near side exhaust centre section, sounded like an internal part had come loose. All replaced under warranty.
