Hi Guys,
Have decided to go for a B8 Rs4 and found a very high spec and my favourite coloured (prism silver)one in Glasgow. Problem is I'm based in London. Just wanted your opinions on it and if anyone knew the car?
Also wanted some advice on how far I may be able to push the dealer? Never bought an Audi. I 'm pxing my 2008 E93 M3 in for it and been offered 15500. My cars covered 58000 miles and has full main dealer history.
All guidance very much appreciated:

I'm selling mine if it's of interest.
Very high spec with Audi warranty until April next year.

Have you driven one yet? Coming from an m3, then adding a chunk of cash for similar performance might change your mind. I would have gone for the m3 saloon, but wanted 4wd

Hi Dave,
Your cars lovely but I don't want a black car.
Noddy,
I need a car with 4 wheel drive and big enough to put our dog in and still be fun. Also shouldn't lose to much value when compared to the usual 'Chelsea tractors'.

Nice spec but no sports exhaust nor black pack. Mileage is good but it's a 14 plate so check if MMI is latest edition. I'd offer 35k and see how far he can meet you on that.....trouble you'll find is that colour won't always come up and they are starting to hold onto their value very well! Just don't pay the dealer price as they would've got that at 30-32k ???

And if they mention the 'ramics and buckets, tell them options have no bearing on price in the used market

Makes it more nickable too! set of second hand ceramic discs and callipers would sell for 2k+ easy.
If I had the choice, for that money I would look for a pano roof over ramics.

Thanks guys for your responses.
RS4B8LYF,
The car has the sports pack and exhaust. Not sure what Black pack is?
Noddy,
The car has a panoramic roof, unless there are different types of sunroofs?

That's nice and very local to me but want something with less miles and a minimum 2014 as I read this is when they got a few upgrades.

That's an [expensive] pre-facelift car.

Kmpowell,
Can you tell me why you feel it's expensive? I've been looking and can't find anything with this spec and price.
Also I thought anything after march 2014 were post
Facelift?

My advice is you should ignore screen prices, the true indicator of these cars is what the 'trade' prices are and what that gap is then to the screen price. For example that's a max £30k car all day long trade/px. So with that in mind it's then personal preference as to if you think the £8-9k mark-up is reasonable (and if you can swallow that immediate negative equity loss). Apart from the ceramic brakes and Buckets there is nothing on the car that's out of the ordinary, it's not a facelift (see below), there's no styling pack, and it's not really in a massively popular colour. So IMO it's certainly not worth it. They've had that car up for quite a while and it's been reduced down from £41,500. At that price point I'd certainly be looking to get into a 2015 cars. My advice is not to get 'ramics lure.
You can tell it's a pre-facelift because it has 'sound pack', and the 'power operated tailgate' listed as paid-specified options. They were dropped as options on the facelift because they made DAB and the leccy boot standard. Remember that just because a car is registered on a date, it doesn't mean that's when it was built.

No worries, it's just my personal opinion, and I suspect some may disagree, but the market for these is about to go through some significant change with the introduction of the B9, so you should protect yourself as much as you can. Bid low on them, there is a lot of margin in these cars and with the B9 potentially a lot more B8's will come to market through p/x's and the end of PCPS.

Kmpowell,
The intersting thing is the dealer said he's only had the car a few weeks, they must have had it a lot longer if they reduced the price

.
I think your right the market will change with the introduction of the B9 with people upgrading. I just don't want a big 4x4 and this car does give the best of both worlds.
Did have a look at the M5 but not sure putting a big bulldog in the back seat with kids is a good idea.
I may just sit tight and see what happens...
