Thanks chaps, would anyone recommend those MUST have options for that special feeling of the car?

Buckets, sports pack and ramics for that special feeling.
But there's alot of other options that make the car,
like for me, the pano roof, HHA and adaptive cruise control, colour and the black pack make the car great.

Options are very much specific to the owner. For instance I can't stand the buckets and prefer the sports seats as I travel long distances into Germany and find the buckets uncomfortable. I have also never felt the need for ceramic brakes unless the car is going on a track, the standard Brembos are great. Panoramic roof and B&O seem to be a must have on the car based on threads on this forum, and cars without these seem to be very much unloved. Colour is always marmite however now that I own a bright green RS4 I would never ever knock somebody's colour choice again, its very personal. HHA is superb, one of the best options in my view. The ability to just stop and take your feet off all the pedals in traffic without the car moving is very nice.

Mine was pretty much fully loaded when I ordered it, no buckets though as I got peed off with the bolsters on my B7. I would say the tech/sports pack are the better options I went for, I like my pan roof but rarely open it and I honestly think ceramics are overkill, though on a secondhand car you won't be paying through the nose. Good luck

Options are very subjective, however for me the car should have as a bare minimum...

Full leather
Sports Pack (20's, Sports Exhaust, DRC, Dyn Steering which you can switch off)
B&O
Pan Roof

... this is from somebody who didn't spec the B&O and Pan Roof, and I regretted it.

Id say the must have is sports pack, everything else is really personal preference.

Ive got a nogaro selection, and love the interior, would have liked the b&o and tints (got them myself) but wasnt fussed with the pano roof.

To be honest, so long as the loud pedal works, you'll love it!

Had b&o on my a5, which was fantastic compared to previous cars. Looked at an rs4 without and walked away. Bought one with, and now drive everywhere with stereo turned down and windows open! Tints, b&o and sports pack is plenty. Buckets and pano roof would be nice to have but not worth the 5k premium on a 2nd hand. The buckets and ceramics also fetch big bucks for thieves! Would like to drive one on 19's in dynamic mode just to see if it improves things!!

Sports pack, pan roof, b&o, keyless go, hill hold, black pack, full leather, memory seats, folding mirrors, adaptive cruise, red calipers (subjective and colour dependant). Buckets for me would be a no ( no electric memory ). Heated seats a nice option too.
Was in Audi dealer today to test drive new RS3 ( impressed ) and talking to salesman he said RS4 values very strong for right spec.
Good luck with search!
