So I have found something i dislike on this car! Adaptive cruise control! You only have 5mph increments and the thing does on lift off the gas but actually puts on the brakes when closing up on other cars even when the speed differential is small. So you constantly catch up cars brake as you can't adjust the speed to suit the traffic!

You can set it at any speed based on pressing set. You can also set the distance to the car in front. You have to manage overtakes more actively.

Personally I think it's a great system especially in average speed cameras, much better than the standard cruise.

Yes I'm a big fan. Just driven the A9 with 120 miles of average speed cameras. Reset the trip every time I passed a camera
I cancel the adaptive cruise when catching vehicles, Ley the car coast and resume when the speeds match. Works brilliantly

If it's adaptive cruise it would control the speed for you and you wouldn't have to turn it on and off?

It is, but I've found rather than having the car brake, it's easier to let the car slow down of its own accord and then resume at a lower speed. Just makes for smoother driving, probably saves tuppence of fuel too
