Re: Thinking of moving to an RS6.....
Thats true foxy - for a £94k car with 5k deposit down - the best i can get currently is around £1040 a month (and this with £13k discount and deposit contribution)
The other option i'm looking at is potentially buying it outright instead - what do people think of that rather than financing it - other than the obvious saving in interest - but if i'm not going to own it for longer than 4 years is it worth it? handing over in excess of £94k cash feels odd!

I think you pay your money and you take your choice, I work on the basis of what I can afford monthly and take the pain. I have bought plenty of expensive cars for cash over the years and it is the most cost effective route but I've never done it on a daily driver that will depreciate quite like an RS6. My experience has been with Ferrari's and Porsche and I've generally not had much of a kicking. If you PM me I will put you in touch with the dealer who did my deal, you never know.Moonmonkey831 wrote: ↑Mon Sep 04, 2017 12:19 pmThats true foxy - for a £94k car with 5k deposit down - the best i can get currently is around £1040 a month (and this with £13k discount and deposit contribution)

Re: Thinking of moving to an RS6.....
Thanks Foxy will do
Am I right in thinking that if you go for the Audi PCP finance (to get the deposit contribution) you can cancel the finance within 14 days (obviously paying off the car) but still retain the deposit contribution?
Might look at doing this as getting a loan separately may work out cheaper than with Audi finance
Just wondering if it would impact future finance with VWFS if you do this? i.e. would they hold it against you as really you are only leveraging your rights?
Thanks

Re: Thinking of moving to an RS6.....
Guess it depends what else you could do with the money and what kind of return you could get. I've got a great low rate for mine which i've decided to go ahead on, so it makes more sense to finance it as I can do other things with that kind of lump sum.Moonmonkey831 wrote: ↑Mon Sep 04, 2017 12:19 pmThats true foxy - for a £94k car with 5k deposit down - the best i can get currently is around £1040 a month (and this with £13k discount and deposit contribution)

True. Did you get lower than the offered 4.9% from Audi finance? Maybe naive of me but I didn't think they moved on that part.mikeyw wrote:Guess it depends what else you could do with the money and what kind of return you could get. Re: Thinking of moving to an RS6.....
Audi were not especially competitive so ive used my bank who offered me 2.9% - was pretty happy with that.Moonmonkey831 wrote: ↑Tue Sep 05, 2017 12:28 pmTrue. So, thats it - 4 gone 6 in its place. An awesome car - similar in ways and very different in others especially the size, so just getting used to it, especially the power!! But have a big beaming smile every time I get in it, especially in dynamic !
