Humm - did not know it was a review car, although i've now had more details through and it does say Audi Press on the screen grab. Test drove it anyhow today and its a great car I must say. It seems in good condition, although the unknown is how hard a life it had whilst with the press. Was offered 30K for my RS4, which is low, and not much movement on the 73K either. However, the price seems on par with others out there and the ceramics are effectively in there for free. Dealer tells me they paid more than its now up for for it - unsure of thats likely to be true.....i liked the interior including the Alcantra or whatever the spelling is!, seats - only had full leather before.....anyone had those ?kmpowell wrote: ↑Thu Aug 17, 2017 7:29 pmKP16 VWE?mikeyw wrote: ↑Thu Aug 17, 2017 6:59 pmTest drive arranged on Sat - looks like a decent spec on the 6 - Ceramic disks, Performance pack, and Sepang blue, so i'm hoping most people wont notice i've changed! It is all about the total deal so it will be interesting to see what they offer. Looks like it was an Audi Press car - now, this might mean its been shagged to death though......!
- First registered 6th April 2016
- Apr 6st 2017 it was taken off the road and registered SORN
- Put on sale 8th of April at £87,850, various reductions between then and now where it's £73,850.
Just like OU/OY/O* cars, KT/KP/K* cars are generally high-spec ex-Audi press cars, handed out by Audi UK Press to the motoring press for testing. KP16 VWE was one of the first, given out to Pistonheads (https://www.pistonheads.com/road-tests/ ... view/34634), WhatCar (https://www.whatcar.com/news/2016-audi- ... ce-review/) Lincs Business (http://lincsbusiness.co/2016/12/audi-rs ... introvert/)
I'm pretty sure KP16 VWE is also RMD 750 which was in AutoCar, Chris Evan's review etc.
In short, it's had a hard life, and unless it's priced very keenly i'd be looking at the many others on the market. Don't let the CCB's sway you.

If you are happy with it and the monthlys, go for it..
What are the monthlys if you don't mind me asking?

Re: Thinking of moving to an RS6.....
depends what we finally agree as the part ex, which forms some of the deposit, plus some cash, but i'm looking at about 950 on a pcp with a GFV of 29K. I loved the car to be honest just the raw speed was awesome, but it cruised so well too....and the dogs will fit! Just concerned i'm maybe paying over the odds...chandler99 wrote: ↑Sat Aug 19, 2017 6:42 pmIf you are happy with it and the monthlys, go for it..

950 pcm...
If you keep it 3 years you are looking at a cost to you of about 75k or 25k per annum, before petrol, servicing, etc...
Is it really worth 2k a month to you? If so, go for it!

Is the C7 RS6 worth at least £20k more than the B8 RS4? I'm wrangling with the same question.....
Re: Thinking of moving to an RS6.....
No, it isn't but that's because I can't afford it....if money were no issue I'd get a low mileage 2015 for around 55k ?

As I've px'd my f10 M5 against a Nissan GTR, the A45 AMG I use as the runaround isn't big enough to fit all the stuff needed with 3 kids. Hence having the rs4 & 6 on the short list.

Agreed, but all the 2016 cars will feel the same to drive. At a year old they should all drive pretty similar so why go for the one that has been ragged by a load of journalists who didn't care about the car. Surely there are plenty of other 1 year old cars to choose from?
And I agree about the alcantara, i think it looks and feels so much better than the plain old boring full leather that the majority of cars have. And my alcatanara parts still look like new whereas the leather parts have started to show signs of ageing and need some love and care to get them looking like new again.
Re: Thinking of moving to an RS6.....
Normally yes but it was a 2.0 tdi they couldn't shift and i got it for not much more than trade price.
They had a buyer for my RS4

As long as it is in good condition and not a lemon (check for warranty work carried out) and you can hand it back at the end, then go for it. Haggle the price a bit more.
Re: Thinking of moving to an RS6.....
Have you not considered buying new? I got a good deal on an RS6 PE recently, on PCP over 4 years (I won't keep it that long) I am paying @£870 with 5k down, the car listed around £94 before discount.

Re: Thinking of moving to an RS6.....
Hi, sounds like a very good deal. In a similar process at the moment and trying the finalise the deal. Can I ask was that deal from a main dealer using their finance? Currently similar price to me and deposit but monthly is over £1k that is being offered....i wouldn't be able to get close the £870pm without a very large discount being applied over what i'm already being offered.Foxy wrote:Have you not considered buying new? I'm guessing the discount must have been substantial rather than them changing the 4.9% APR and GMFV or perhaps your mileage is lower (mine is at 10k)

I'm guessing the discount was good rather than than the 4.9% APR and GMFV being changed?

Like wise, i'd looked in to this and the best id found was over 1k.
Chatted to a dealer yesterday about a deal with a TTRS they had in the showroom which would be "A good deal" , however he came back offering me 30k for my fully loaded 64 plate with 24k on the clock and claimed the TTRS at 62k would cost me £944 with 5k in !!! Needless to say id said no.

Re: Thinking of moving to an RS6.....
It may be that I am getting a better deal than most (I buy a couple of expensive cars through the same main dealer using Audi finance every 2 years), mileage is 10k and they generally turn a blind eye if I'm over, but draw the line at tyre condition. Given the list of my car (discount was @£13k I think), I'd have thought if you went for a normal RS6 and specced it sensibly you would get below £1k. I ordered my car in May and it could be that the discounts have gone as the car is now all but out of production according to a guy on the RS6 forum. It's a big car but the performance is light years ahead of the 4, I've got fed up with the laggy response from low revs when I've been pootling and just want to enter a carriageway or overtake, go for it.
