Tyre Wear

Post by noddy » Mon Jul 31, 2017 2:18 pm

Currently fronts are wearing more on the inside that middle or outside. Is this normal?
The car had new front shocks with previous owner, could the tracking need doing?

Have you got speed pillows in your area? They tend to wear the insides of the tyres when you run straight over them.

Only had the car 2 weeks, but yes we have them? Do they pull the tracking out?

Not that I know of, but they do wear the inside edges of the tyres, particularly if they've been around a while and have started to break up a bit.

Id get the tracking done if i was you. Had similar issue when I bought mine, got tracking done the next day along with some new tyres and my tyres have been fine ever since. Probably best to do the tracking every 12 - 18 months anyway if you have speed bumps in your area. Pot holes don't help either!

Check your tyre pressures too, as it's one of the biggest influencers of wear.
