New B8 Owner

Hi all,

Just picked up a 2014 RS4, had a B7 RS4 a couple of years ago and moved to a Golf R (big mistake) when the stupidly cheap lease deals were on. The golf went back at the end of March and i was stuck with a 2.0 TDI Q5 for a few months which was a painful experience. Had been looking on and off as B8's when this one came up for sale locally in the right colour and a panoroof, went and had a look at it last Saturday did the deal and collected it yesterday.

Bearing in mind i have only driven a couple of hundred miles in it i am really impressed, mind you anything would feel quick and handle better than the Q5

Could do with some help of what spec it actually is. Is there an easy way to find out ? Not sure what is standard..

So far

2014
Misano Red
Black Optics
Sport Pack
Pano Roof
Full Leather
Reverse Camera
Heated Seats
Carbon inlays
Privacy Glass
Advance key

Just remember, red nail polish is taking things too far

Nice buy, welcome to the B8 club. It's interesting how many B7 owners go elsewhere and then come back to a B7, yet I'm not aware of anyone going B7-B8-B7.

Thanks lads, I know it's still early days with this car but maybe slightly controversially I prefer it to the B7...

Best way is to either ring Audi Customer Services and ask for the options fitted when manufactured, or pop into your local Audi dealership and ask. The dealership should be able to provide you with a printout with all the options ( possibly as codes) fitted, but you may have to provide your V5 just to confirm ownership. Whenever I have sought this info, it has always been provided with no questions.
Also, is the info not on a Sticker usually found somewhere in the lower boot compartment? Or am I getting mixed up with VW's? My B8 is not nearby at the minute for me to check.

Why did you not get on with the Golf R - anything specific or just dull?

I'm looking for something to plug a gap whilst I watch what the economy does for the next 2 years or so and had been moving in this direction.

I had a B6 S4 in Red, the only car I have owned from new for 3 years. Fond memories, but the B8 RS4 is better.

The cars handbook should have a Sticker in the inside cover which will show a load of 3 digit codes, these are the options which can be found from google.
The 2014 was an update year so a few more options were standard.

Enjoy...

Exactly that, I found it incredibly boring. Nothing I could actually put my finger on as such, did everything very well but it excelled at nothing, I just didn't gel with it. I know a lot of people love them but I found it soulless if that make sense.

I had an s3 in between rs4s, and thought the same. Yep, good car 300 hp hard to argue with, but no drama/excitement!

Dal there is defo a Sticker in the boot. You have to dig out all the plastics by the what would be the spare wheel area and it's stuck on "metal"

Not in the B8 it's not Eddie, the spare wheel area is lined in a thin felt material. The 'build Sticker' should be stuck to the inside of the service/warranty schedule booklet that is in the canvas folder.

Welcome OP. Great looking car. Similar spec to my sold B8. Misano, black styling and titanium rotors.
