Steering rack replaced, now wheel bearing noise

Hi all,

I had my steering rack fail a few weeks ago and had it replaced under warranty which was all pain free, but ever since having it back there's been ever increasing drone that I didn't notice before.

It's got fairly load now and I've got it booked back in with Audi, but wondered if anyone else has experience of a steering rack replacement and if you had this noise?

I suspect it's the bearing, front right... possibly front left too, and as far as I'm aware they removed the drive shafts when replacing the rack so jot sure if this is what's caused issue..

Any words of wisdom appreciated as ever :beerchug:

They shouldn't have touched the drive shafts when replacing the rack, no need to.

ok thanks..

They asked me when replacing where the locking wheel nut was but i guess that could of been to remove the wheel for whatever reason?

Yeah, you need the wheels off to get the track rod ends removed.
