Anybody know?

Hi all,
Anybody know what the car will not stay in full Dynamic mode when turned off and back on, ie you need to cycle it? I guess it's a general question as as far as I know all the cars with that mode do it (my S1 is the same).
What was the reasoning? I have read stuff on gearbox oil temps etc but that cant be true as I can just switch it over as soon as the car starts.
Any thoughts?

Yes 2 reasons:
1) emissions and noise testing are in the default mode
2) it is so that when there is a change of driver they do not get unexpected 'dynamic handling characteristics'

Don't tend to use Dynamic as have the ADS in my IndividuaI setting. It it just the exhaust that switches out of Dynamic after shutdown then?

Sam on the C7 the gearbox always starts in Drive mode therefore the engine / throttle mapping is also in comfort mode. And of course the exhaust flaps are closed. Pull the gearlever into Sport mode and you have full dynamic again.

Yep. When you put it back in D though it will revert to Dynamic 'lite' with the exhaust flaps. You need to cycle it.

That's one of the benefits of disconnecting the flaps; I don't need to cycle modes anymore just pull the lever to move between Drive and Sport

Yes. I did that for a bit but missed the option. Especially after i figured out the B8 flaps don't work like the B7 and stay open all the time in dynamic or individual exhaust dynamic
