Good morning all.

I have question about my new RS4 if anybody can confirm my thinking.

My previous car b8 S5 (2008) had 19" wheels originally. I upgraded to the optional 20" and kept my 19" as winter wheels with premium winter tyres.

I still have these wheels and wondering if they could become my RS4's winter wheels and tyres (i know it would look stupid. however)

The S5 wheels are 19x9j ET35 5x112
I believe the Vspokes on the RS4 are 20x9j Et26 5x112

So as far as i understand to get virtually the same fitment i'd need a 10mm spacer (i already have one set of H&R 10mm spacers which were on the rear of the S5) but i'd assume i'd need these all round this time?

The car has the standard brakes and calipers not the ceramic disks etc so im only worried that the calipers wont fit under the smaller wheels, but as i understand it audi sell some 19" winter tyres for the RS4?

Has anybody used a similar mod? I'd much prefer this option rather than buying the audi winter wheel package at over 3k!

The B7 chassis has a centre bore of 55 7. The B8 chassis has a centre bore of 66.6.
This means you can fit B8 wheels on a B7 by using a spigot to reduce the size of the centre bore of the wheels. However, B7 wheels will not go onto a B8 as the centre bore of the wheel is too small to fit the B8 hub.
The only way to do this would be to either increase the bore hole on the wheels (not worth the hassle) or change the hubs but I imagine this creates more problems than it solves.

But worth checking if the wheels you have are actually 55.7 or if they are 66.6 with spigot fitted. If it is the case of the latter then you can just remove the spigots.

Previously owned? There is no B7 S5, only a B8 S5, in which case I would suspect the same fitting, but different offset and flatter profile which would look odd on an RS.

My apologies, the series numbers still confuse me, it was a 2008 S5 which must be B8 then? i assumed the B8 was the facelift model with the 3.0 rather than the v8.

I appreciate it would look odd, but for winter wheels and tyres i think it would be acceptable as the audi ones arent the best lookers either!
