Brake pad part numbers

Post by moonigan » Thu Jan 19, 2017 10:27 pm

Brake pad light came on today. Looks like the fronts are a bit low so I'll change them. Seems a pretty straight forward job but I'm struggling to find the part numbers on the Interweb. I can find pads for b7 RS but not specific to the b8. Does anyone have the correct part numbers?

Cheers
Paul

Just in case you didn't get the numbers, these are for standard brakes not ceramic and for a 2014 model.

Thanks. Looks like they are same as B7. A quick google throws up a gulf between the prices though. The Audi ones are around £280 for the fronts yet various sellers are knocking TRW branded pads out at £90. A quick google of the brand suggests they are OEM quality pads. Has anyone used them?

I may be wrong but I believe TRW are the OEM pad supplier. They certainly make the S4 pads as this picture shows their logo and the Audi rings.

Pagid are the OEM supply for the RS4 brakes, they are bagged as Brembo but made by Pagid. I had a front set done last year, £270 trade from TPS.

Just ordered the TRW parts from Parts in Motion for £111 for both front and rears. Part numbers on the parts in motion site are:
Front: GDB1688 - £73 https://www.partsinmotion.co.uk/index.p ... Itemid=101

Rear: GDB1902 - £38 https://www.partsinmotion.co.uk/index.p ... Itemid=101

Parts arrived Tues and I had them fitted at a local indy today for £60. I know I said I was going to do it myself but its just too damn cold to be farting about outside. Just got home and haven't crashed so that's a good sign.
