Anyone ever had issues filling the washer fluid bottle? Mine has a mettle gauze that seems to have 'gunked up' so can't fill it. Not really sure how to remove it or clean it - any ideas?

I had same thing. It's actually removable. Give it a yank out. I then put it under the hot tap indoors and washed it out then put it back.

Ah cool. Great that it can be removed. Will get on to that this morning along with a post xmas wash with my new snow cannon!

What volume is the washer fluid bottle and at what residual volume does the low fluid level indicator come on? I put 2 litres in and it still has low level light on?!

IN case anyone is curious - it's ~5 litres to fill.

Yeah it's a thirsty one. Felt like eternity when mine was Completely empty when filling it up.

If its gunking up then there is too much additive being mixed, it goes off and turns into a sludge when too much is added, also creates the horrible smell.

A lot of people add more when the smell arrives, it just makes it worse.

Ah that's good to know. It's exactly what my mesh had all over it. Didn't let anything through!!

Hot water resolved it and have put the right measure in with my new stuff

Sounds like you have a leak, I hardly ever fill mine up, probably 3-4 times in 10k miles.

That's what I think. No way I have squirted 15litres onto my windshield in 3 weeks!!

Will get it down to Audi for them to have a look.

My friend had this on her a4. It's the washer bottle pump. It has a little o ring that is perishable.
The pump simply just turns about 40 degrees and comes out. Its an easy fix.
U have to take the scuttle panel off to get to it though.

Good knowledge - thanks. Will get the garage to do that this weekend.
