Suspension knocking and catching noise

Hi guys,
Picked up my RS4 last weekend, and I have a couple of questions that may have already been discussed but couldn't see them. Has any body experienced any knocking from the driver and passenger side suspension areas on their RS4's? Also when my gear box changes down gears from time to time there sounds like a scrubbing/catching noise, I can't pin point were the noise is coming from, again I was wondering if this is an engine noise or something that others have experienced?
Thanks in advance

Can't answer the noise relative to your gear changes, but the suspension knock is well documented on here. Usually could be heard on minor road surface defects, ie. sunken manhole covers or sunken pothole repairs. Audi initially denied there was an issue, but earlier this year have relented and replaced front shocks under warranty as long as the customer complains about a 'knocking' from the front suspension. I had the knocking on mine, mainly from the front offside, and after three visits with no real result, Audi have now replaced the front shocks, and it's now quiet and as any reasonable person would expect the suspension to be on any car, never mind a £56k plus car.

+1
Front shocks being replaced as we speak. No problems from the dealer, replaced straight away.

So, tooki my car in to Audi on Monday evening as I wasn't happy with the gearbox noise. A technician came out in the car with me and after two change downs from 5-4 he told me to get it back to the dealership and not drive it until they had looked into it. After 3 days of testing, oil changes, software updates, gearbox checks, they refered the issue to a head technician at Audi HQ, he suggested a few checks and tests which couldn't diagnose the issue. In the end they are replacing the gearbox. Thank god for Audi warranty as the technician told me it's going to cost Audi around 12k to replace it.
They haven't had much chance to look at the suspension knocking but he did say that they have bled the system and re pressurised it and will test it when the new gearbox has been installed.

My suspension is now silent a though a really quiet knock when cold 1st thing in the morning but goes once warmed up. I had a really bad knock when I 1st picked up the car, Audi replaced a shock inder warranty and regassed the system and updated the software, silent since.
