Question, can you help? Front radiator / intercoler?

Hi,

I am currently in the process of changing the intake / filter on the front of the car, and I have noticed some veins are damaged on the VERY front radiator under the slam panel, Air seems to be escaping which makes me think this is some kind of air intercooler rather than a radiator.

Is this right? Is there a suitable fix for sealing the outside temporarily?

I need the car and would be keen to know if using it with this minor damage is ok, and what if an part of the car is affected by the escaping air?

Cheers!

Sounds like the air con condenser to me.

Ok, it appears from a VAG part number that this is the air conditioning condenser unit, so it shouldn't be as bad as I thought.

Thanks Mike, yes that's what it is based on a part number search! Could have been worse!
