Part throttle surging

Another one of my cars small niggles that I needed to sort.

When for example I was joining motorways, I'd occasionally get a very slight surging between 2k & 5k rpm. You needed to be using all of the cars torque, but before the gearbox would kickdown a gear in order to experience the fault. Under full load it behaved fine.

So I hooked up VCDS and to my surprise I actually saw some fault codes logged:

2 Faults Found:

2636 - Low Pressure Fuel regulation
P310B 00 [096] - Fuel Pressure Outside Specification

2638 - Low Pressure Fuel regulation
P310B 00 [096] - Fuel Pressure Outside Specification

So with that stored, it was then booked into the dealer. They liaised with Audi Technical and I had a call on Friday saying that the decision was to fit a new fuel pump; this was ordered and should be fitted on Monday. Not sure which one, but imagine that it's the fuel tank one getting replaced. Hopefully that's fixed the fault and I can tick another thing off the list. :nodder:

Fingers crossed they fix it first time.

How big is the list now?

Fingers crossed, the warranty list is mainly done now Mike. Will start an ownership thread soon I think.

Outstanding Audi stuff is:

Engine surging - New fuel pump hopefully fixes it
New Gearbox (questionable) - Meeting up with Riv to compare with his car. Need to ascertain if the new gearbox noise is a characteristic or mine has a fault from new. Audi believe the former.
Hill Hold Assist memory - Audi say feature only on 2014 cars after build week 22. Yet it's published as a feature in the user manual dated Nov 2013?

My own additional list:

Fit Akrapovic exhaust once all the warranty work has been done.
Body colour front and rear bumper matte aluminium parts.
PPF front end.
Get winter tyres for the 20" Rotors I have sitting around.
Remove OEM style window tints, perhaps get a light smoke all around instead.
Rob a bank to afford retro fitting Ceramic Brakes.
Learn how to wet sand, would love to remove the factory Audi orange peel.

Oh yes, for sure

How did the Triangle go? It seems like ages, since I last visited after the Scotburgring trip.
