I have a 2013 RS4 purchased from Swindon Audi at the start of the year. Car had 23k miles when purchased and is now on 26k and is asking for oil change. I rang the dealer and spoke to the salesman who advised that the last oil change was done at 18k and it was "up to me" if I wanted to change the oil now or I could simply reset the warning so it wouldn't come on until the next service is due.

Does this sound correct? Given the performance of the car I would have thought that if it asks for an oil change it probably needs one. I looked on Audi's website and it describes the 2 different service schedules (fixed & flexible) and I would say I fall into the fixed category as I do low miles but drive the car hard. If that's the case then oil change should be every 9k (or about now)

Yes it needs doing. Mine is on variable and was giving 16k i think it was after the last oil change but i plan to do it every year/10k no matter what it says and then not do the oil on the variable inspections which mine is saying is 18 months/17k after the last one.

Hook up myaudi and you can see the history on your phone. My dealer had no idea what was going on
