Hi, been visiting the forum for a long time as had a c5 RS6 many years ago and have had the b8 for nearly 2 years now. I normally don't take part in online things as I get tired of opinionated morons spouting rubbish (pistonheads a case in point - I genuinely despair after reading the comments on articles!). However as the forum has helped on 2 occasions (exhaust tips and drc tpi) thought I'd say thanks as it wouldn't work if everyone took same approach as me!

Love the car but have had the worst luck with it I think!

Cheers all!

Welcome,

Out of interest, how did the forum help you with DRC tip? I only ask as i'm trying to get audi to do something about the knocking on mine

I saw that various people had received different responses from Audi regarding the DRC knocking noises and whether they were a characteristic or indicative of a fault - I had just given up and was resigned to living with appaling ride quality, dodgy handling and rattles from every part of the interior!
Then someone posted that there was now a tpi for the problem and demonstrating the knocking or even mentioning it was reason enough for them to inspect the shocks, without that info I wouldn't have had the energy to go into battle over it. It's a good starting point with the service department if you say "I'm aware of a tpi for this exact issue".

I was thinking that too. My limited knowledge of photography would suggest it needed better lighting (or perhaps a real camera).

Sorry, only have one camera and it's on my phone. I only took a picture as it was clean and it very rarely is! Normally more like this thanks to the farm across the road
