MPG on trip is well out
MPG on trip is well out
Is it the norm? I'm only 4 tanks in but it's consistently 3-4mpg out and on a car that is doing sub 20 that is a big %.

I've never tried checking the real mpg, it'd bring me to tears if I did.

Re: MPG on trip is well out
I manage on average 270 miles for every 55 litres so real world 22.3 mpg. The trip computer shows an average of 24.5mpg for 13000 miles so there is a discrepency of approx 9%.Sometimes more somtimes less depending on the driving. How does your's compare?
I will say that my RS4 appears to be more accurate than any other car I've driven. I don't think the measuring and calculation systems are designed to a high tolerance on cars - 2.0 diesels are the worst offenders in my experience with approx 80% accuracy from the trip computer, whereas at least the RS4 is accurate to just over 90%.

Re: MPG on trip is well out
On 75mph runs i get 30/31 on the trip and 26/27 calculated and then enjoyable driving i get 17-20 on the trip and 13-15 calculated. 6th tank now.innercry666 wrote:I manage on average 270 miles for every 55 litres so real world 22.3 mpg.
