Any thoughts? I'm also concerned that the wheel dimensions would be equivalent to running a 11mm spacer on the standard wheels, which could potentially throw up a lot of stones and ruin the bodywork.

Alloys - What do you think?
Ok, some may remember a little while ago. I did a little mock-up for these 20" alloys fitted on an RS5 but having since changed direction and now looking for an RS4. I thought that I would do a quick Photoshop, to see what these look like on the RS4 instead.
Any thoughts? I'm also concerned that the wheel dimensions would be equivalent to running a 11mm spacer on the standard wheels, which could potentially throw up a lot of stones and ruin the bodywork.

Re: Alloys - What do you think?
As I said before Sam, I love those wheels and id have fitted them to my B7 if they would have fitted.
They never look great in photos though, so the people looking now that have not seen them in the flesh might not appreciate their full beauty.
However, I did see them once on a B8 (and it was blue) but they didn't quite look right for some reason. Maybe it was riding too high.
They look good in the Photoshop here though, has that car been lowered?

Re: Alloys - What do you think?
Thanks for the votes so far, both positive and negative - I'd love to read the negative viewpoint if someone would like to contibute, I'm keeping a very open mind
Car is not lowered as far as I'm aware, the picture was manipulated from a currently advertised Audi Approved Used vehicle picture below:

Agree there, the dish is quite naughty in person. Not a big fan of going aftermarket though and at least these are genuine Audi wheels.Brooner wrote:i do like them as said the pictures don't do the dish any justice maybe an after market one that is not so wide if such a thing exists
Agree with you Mike. If the B7 could have swallowed the dimensions then these would be 'the' ones to have. I wonder if the one you saw in person had the winter/A6/A8 versions of these? If it looked that wrong.MikeFish wrote: They look good in the Photoshop here though, has that car been lowered?

Thanks Ian, I'd seen that.Ian_C wrote:Post from Ross the other day regarding 10mm spacers

However forum member Riv has been running 10mm spacers on his Riviera Blue RS4 for a while now and that car is mint. He's very keen on keeping cars in tiptop condition. I think the issue for Ross, is his penchant for track day events?

Re: Alloys - What do you think?
Yes. Although I think they came off before he went back on track. Some narrow country lanes around his rural house (lose stuff in verges etc)
I found the 20s on the B8 RS4 I drove ridiculously vulnerable to kerbs down narrow lanes and through sleepy villages etc, personally I'd not want to make the track 1 inch greater!

Re: Alloys - What do you think?
Love those wheels. Especially with a different finish, I think they'd really suit the B8.

Sam - as per my reply in Jezzers FS thread. If you don't want the wheels you've bought from him let me know.
Cheers

Re: Alloys - What do you think?
I think they look great the 1st wheels, every time I have seen a set they don't look a standard silver but more of a high polish type finish or is that only on some car?

Alloys - What do you think?
Yeah I barely had the wheel spacers on for 100 miles - and I think it's fair to say I'm completely OCD about keeping the car mint!

Re: Alloys - What do you think?
I don't seem to have any stone chips, I've easily done 10k since fitting the spacers
Maybe having lowered my car it helps with this??

Re: Alloys - What do you think?
Softer exclusive paint.
Narrower car.
Drive like a cooont.
Extra wide spacers.
Luck of the draw.
Many possible reasons a few of us get it and others don't I guess!

Re: Alloys - What do you think?
Ross did you have the stone chips before VMAX? It's notorious for stonechipping cars due to the high speeds. I know a few people who's wheels have taken quite a hit too.
Sam, both wheels look awesome. I've always really liked those multi spoke C7 wheels that are similiar in design to the B7 wheels, so they'd be my preference. That said, both wheels have a good dish in real life and pictures do not do them justice.
