Thanks, i will contact him.

Are aftermarket pads not worth the massive reduction over OEM? See below link.

No problem, OEM are manufactured by Brembo.

One thing I would never do is compromise on brake pads and tyres. All of those listed in the link will be pattern parts, which are made to inferior specs, hence lower cost. Any performance aftermarket stuff from my experience, will be noisier than OEM and not work as well when cold, however they perform better for track days and fast road use.

OEM are manufactured by Pagid and branded as Brembo, same with the disks. Its only the callipers that are designed and manufactured by Brembo.

OEM pads from TPS are currently £265 trade.

From what i can see (from searching), no one has used / tried the EBC redstuff pads. £195 plus EBC's previous rep (to my knowledge at least) would suggest this isnt a bad option. Anyone have a view?
It's all torque talk.

I looked into these just to reduce the brake dust, was thinking that when I have my next set as already had one set and started looking after they were fitted. It bugs me how much brake dust is produced by the RS4 brakes.

Next time though I will need disks and pads.

I think I'll bite the bullet and give them a go. The car isn't going to be with me much longer so why not try them eh!

Slightly unrelated, but I've almost finished a set of EBC bluestuff on my megane. I've read they got quite a slating on a GTR forum a few years ago, so was skeptical. But I've now done two ring trips with them (60+ laps) and kicked they're head in without any complaints at all. Mega pads, with minimal dust. I know it's a lighter car than the audi, but I brake hard enough to make up for it lol

The reds I had on my 106 were good also, but again, another factor lighter car.

Thread resurrection, discs had less than a mm left so just fitted some TRW pads to see how they run. £71 from euro parts, took me 30mins per side. TRW have been making oem for VW Audi for a long time, so trust them on quality. Note, I don't track my car. Going to try to strictly follow the Brembo pad bed in procedure, and will update in a few months time.

Bit of an update, after 6 weeks bedding in the trw pads everything seems good. No squeals, good pedal feel which is improving with wear. Overall they seem fine for road use. Dust is normal, but not an issue as I ceramic Coated my wheels.
