Im considering putting this on my car. I dont have DRC so it should be a pretty straight forward job. Has anyone used the kit? Or are there better springs out there?
Also can anyone offer some advice on what they were charged to install and set up?
Finally I read on the RS5 site that lowering can seriously bugger tyre wear on the 5 due to its lack of a ceratin part of the adjustment process so some fitted adjustable control arms. IS this the case with the 4 too?
Many thanks.
Anyone had experience of the KW HAS lowering spring kit?
Re: Anyone had experience of the KW HAS lowering spring kit?
You've actually been in an B8 RS4 fitted with this kit; I gave you a brief run in mine when I dropped off the rotors at your office back in September 2014.
I've been very pleased with mine; good range of height adjustment (approx. 20mm); it allows you to even out the infamous transverse gradient that most German cars seem to have these days so the car sits nice & flat and the ride quality & performance is good. Following alignment I was warned that there is a touch of negative camber (which can't be adjusted out unless you fit control arms) and this will inevitably cause uneven tyre wear but it's hardly significant. Mine's fitted with DRC and works well in harmony with that.
I have had an issue with the suspension (which turned out to be a faulty headlight control sensor) but the Audi dealer refused to touch it under warranty so that's the downside; they advised "return car to standard springs". I usually take it to Ninemeister in Warrington for any suspension related work now.
Kit was £450 and approx. £350 for fitting/alignment at Demon Tweeks.
MTM sell a similar set up but I understand that it is the KW HAS rebadged and costs significantly more.
Hope this helps
Dave

Thanks Dave. I can remember. Do you have spacers on yours and do you think it's worth installing the adjustable control arms? Any recommendations?
