Audi Non Sport Exhaust option

Does anyone know if the standard non-sport exhaust (chrome trims) is fitted with the vacuum operated valve system?
I'll be looking to fit an aftermarket valved exhaust and need to know if both OEM systems are ok/compatible when looking at Approved Used Cars.
Cheers
Sam

Yes the non-Sport exhaust has vacuum system. Mine had one before I fitted the Audi Sports exhaust which is a direct fit replacement. Central gear box mount had to be loosened to fit it though.

Most likely Mike. The Porsches just didn't have enough room for my hobby equipment and were a bit too 'look at me' for work. So better the devil you know.

That's a great help. Thank you

Just to confirm, I went from the 'non-sport' to a Cap without any issues what so ever. People see the cap with a valve switched remotely, but this isn't needed and the system works off the back pressure and switching depending on the mode you are in (sport or drive for example). If you need feed back from someone (albeit only 50% feedback) ask Silas his thoughts on the sound of a Capristo, he heard mine a week or so ago.

Thanks Smudge, again very helpful.
With any luck, this time tomorrow I'll be in possession of an Akrapovic system. I just need to then find a suitable car to purchase and fit the system to. Once done, we could then compare exhaust notes as I'd still love to hear the Capristo.

Good work Sam, tuning parts first, then the car... That's how I like it too.
