Would anyone know whether the TPM sensors in tyres are integral parts of the valves, or can you replace the valves and still keep the TPM sensors? The original rubber valves are so damn ugly that now when the car is up for a tyre change (30k km's on original P-Zeros -> getting a set of Michelin PSS's, should make a difference?) I'm thinking if I can get rid of the original valves and maybe replace them with "hidden valves"...

It's been really difficult to get PSS's here in down under, though, but after some blackmailing, extortion and bribery finally succeeded. Just thinking maybe I should buy a 5th tyre in case of a puncture that can't be fixed...

I don't think the B8 has tyre pressure sensors, they work by checking the circumference of each wheel.

Tyre tread depth need to be similar across all 4 wheels, so putting 1 new tyre on with 3 worn is not a good idea unless the difference is minimal. It's to do with the 4 wheel drive system.

Thanks, yes confirm this is the case. So got nice looking valves with new set of PSS's - immediate feedback suggests that road noise level is lower and handling probably a bit more precise than with P-zero.
