GUTTED. RS4 Gone - not stolen.
GUTTED. RS4 Gone - not stolen.
Hi All.
Just wanted to share a process with you that may help if you find yourself in the same place as me.
If you need to sell your RS4 it maybe worth doing that via an agent. Mine has gone to a new owner in Devon via a trader - lets hope he pops up on here.
My car was sold via an agent Dean James, the guy is a legend, and made the sale of the car very painless whilst maximising returns:

Sadly I'm now driving the "ferrari Golf Beast" until the RS6PE arrives in June.

Bloody hell, June sounds like ages away!
But I am looking for someone like this Dean James fella to shift my RS4 when the time comes. So he has the Boff seal of approval? I assume he works on a percentage of sale price or a flat sale fee?
PS your 4 looks good in those pictures, even though I don't like the red on the rims and the alu trim I am still strangely drawn to it!

I sold my RRS through an agent before getting my RS4. Completely painless and I got as much as I would have had it been a private sale.
These agents / dealers can offer finance and warranties so therefore opens up your car buying audience.
Would you go to someone's house and hand over 65 large and be comfortable about it ?? Firms like this provide a great service to people who have expensive cars to sell.

The stupid Photoshopping on all the photos...why? I guess if it sells the car, but really?

Was up for 50k? A bit cheeky i know, but what do you get from it?

Hi Folks
So Yep - Dean gets my stamp of approval, he charges a fixed fee and whilst he will advise you on the price he thinks will move it - he will market it at whatever your want. Because he completely underwrites the deal, i.e. can do trade-ins, can arrange finance, etc etc it broadens up the market appeal for the car. He has a fixed process for selling the car.
For me it meant that someone else was handling the trade-ins, he detailed the car - and detailed it to a level that you would pay for, finance if required. And the price returned was much higher than Audi dealer price, so more cash to me - the guy who bought it, got good value and was able to trade in a car, so no more cash to him (he got a good deal), and Dean earned some cash for selling it.
He's always up for a chat, so give him a call if you want to understand his costs and process. I didn't know him previously but he came highly recommended by a mate who does LOTS of car finance.
Mike - June feels a LONG way away!!! but I'll have earned it I reckon!

Thanks boff, great info

No probs, he's done a decent job for me - sort of a half way house I guess, this way I know what the dealer margin is, and return sensible money to me.
