Hi all, does anyone know if the SD card/ Audi rs4 system with technology pack and mobile high connect? Supports lossless? All advice appreciated!

The 2015 RS6 has started to support FLACs.
The new shape A3/ RS3 supports it too, but I think it might be only on the more expensive sat nav option as my wife's basic sat nav unit doesn't seem to recognise flacs.
I'd be surprised if the facelift B8 doesn't support it, but as I don't own one i've never looked into it.

FYI, it has nothing to do with the B&O in the RS3 as she has the B&O but it still doesn't work, must be to do with the main headunit itself.

Here is the MMI manual entry for 2015 B8.5 with B&O and all audi and video options included.

Looks like a no then but worth trying as it's not unheard of to have support for unlisted formats.

The post above doesn't give a max SD card size, it says SD / SDHC so that will be your limiting size. Not sure how big an SDHC goes up to max, guessing it's 64GB. I can see a couple of 64GB cards on my desk here and they are both SDXC so there might be an overlap at that size.
Further down it says max bitrate for audio files as being 320kbits/sec. Is that what you are talking about?

SD cards are a maximum of 32Gb.

Bit rate reffers to MP3 files and the like which are not lossless. I rip all my CD's at 320kb/s to eliminate the clipping which makes them sound much better but the files do get bigger obviously.

+1

SD <= 4GB
4GB <= SDHC <= 32GB
SDXC >= 64GB

Point to note - 4GB can be either SD or SDHC, and not all sellers label them clearly - or even understand the difference when asked :assflash:

SD 4GB are not common place any more and harder to get hold of, then again why would you bother if the system can read SDHC 32Gb cards, one for the B7 boys sadly.

SDXC can't be read by the B8.5 3G+ system.

So does mine, in fact I have the glove box DVD player which plays all the audi formats the SD cards do.

Great for long multi disk audiobooks and a store of movies.

For me, the CD / DVD player is essential if the stereo doesn't play FLACs otherwise mp3 is the best quality I'll hear (I don't stream via bluetooth and all that nonsense).
