Thanks for the link, that looks to be a superb price! I think I'll get a set for when we go skiing in Feb. Is there any brand/model preference on the tyres when it comes to 'winters', or are they all as good as each other?

Best winters i had were Verdistine wintrac extreams but you cant get them in the 20" or the 235's that are on the price deal but i have conties withc are good the are R01 as they Pirelli and Michelin are the only one i know of that do 265 30 20" winters

I thought Audi winter wheels were 19"?

yes the deal is for 19" alloys that have 235 40 19" but i have tryes for my 20" alloys just change the tyres over in November and back to Summers in April

Righty - Gary from Aberdeen Audi has told me this package comes with "Dunlop SP Winter Sport 3D AO".

Has anybody got any experience/opinions on the Dunlops?

Wife has them on her SQ5 seem ok she seem happy with them i cant comment as i haven't drive her car in the snow as yet
this is her 2nd winter with them and 6 to 7 mm so looking to get at least 4 winters out of the set

I ran Dunlop SP Winter Sport 3D on my B7 for a while without any complaints. At that price I would have no issues with them.

Seems an excellent deal - unsure of the Dunlops but they are going to be better than the summer Pirelli's when the weather gets bad, and mine are about due for a change anyhow.

I did also come across this advert, but i'm rather suspicious of the low price and whether they are copies.

They look really cheap too, but then those tyres are probably only worth about 20p

As case of, if it looks to good to be true, it probably is!.....I'll stick with Aberdeen and the Dunlops I think - its a long way to drive for some wheels though

I asked about them posting/couriering them to me from Aberdeen (I live in South London). They quoted £100 on top of the price, which seems reasonable.

even with the £100 still a cracking price

My winter wheels and tyres were eu70 from Germany
It's still a good overall deal though
