Foxes like the taste of a B8!

Awoken at 3am this morning by the dog going mental downstairs and what sounded like a gang trying to steal the RS that's parked directly under our bedroom window on the driveway! I dived through the closed curtains and swung the window open, to be greeted not by a gang of our car stealing chums, but instead a Vixen and her two grown Cubs bold as brass using the RS like a trampoline and running track!

I could see one of the cubs seemingly biting the car, and upon inspection when it was light I was greeted with this...

Luckily everything still works (Nav etc) and for the time being I've painted the tip in clear-coat nail varnish to deter them coming back and doing more damage. But I'm assuming to replace the unit it'll mean an expensive 'headlining out' job?

thats odd, maybe smelled of chicken

you can usually get to the underside of the aerials by removing the rear headlining trim and squeezing a hand in, the plug is there too so no need to run a whole new cable this was on previous cars i havnt tried on B8 but id say it will be the same

That's proper bad luck, I can't stand foxes
I guess they didn't scratch the roof?

Thanks I'll have a look. My local stealer quoted me £500 (over the phone) to do the job, so I'm assuming there's a lot of labour involved...

They are a bit of a menace around this area, and fearless. Thankfully there are no scratches because I had a cover on the car (which they gnawed through to get to the sharkfin). They also gnawed through the cover's two fabric fastening straps that go under the car.

I'm wondering if the cover attracted them, because it's lined and therefore quite soft/warm to sit on?!?
