Cars currently suffering from brake judder when under firm braking at motorway speeds, Tends to be worse when brakes are warm.

Anyone else suffered with this?

Am i right in thinking probable warped discs?

I've only covered 11k from new so hoping it will be a warranty fix.

Bed the pads in again - 70-10mph 8-10 times straight away and then 30min cool down with no/minimal braking and definitely no stopping at lights with your foot on the pedal.

It's not the disc thats "warped", it's the pad material which transfers to the disc during bedding thats become uneven, creating high/low spots on the disc causing the vibration. Re-bedding smooths this out and removes the vibration.

And a reminder not to use hill hold assist as that applies the main brakes, not the handbrake.

I disagree. I use HHA all the time and have not experienced warped disk-like judder in nearly 16k miles. I did have squeal and a bit of "grind" a couple of weeks ago but had it checked out and it subsequently sorted itself out.

No HHA assist during bedding in as brake pad and disc can seize together when very hot...

I had front brake calipers, pads and discs replaced under warranty due to excessive squeal at low speeds to standstill, the new brakes juddered so booked back in again and a small stone had found its way into the calliper... dealership advised me of this AFTER the completely replaced brakes again! Good service!

Ah, I see now. Same principle as when tracking a car.

There is plenty of info in the B7 section on brake judder and the causes, as a lot of B7 owners suffered these issues. As has been said, its not warped discs but likely to be a build of pad material that transfers to the face of the disc when the brakes are hot. I had a lot of problems with brake judder on my B7 which was one reason I wanted ceramics on my B8.
Worth a trawl through the B7 section and you will find out all you need to know....myself and Stu have put a lot of info on there.
I would advise getting all the info and knowing the right things to say before approaching Audi with the problem.

Completed the bedding in procedure again with no change.

Audi have confirmed the discs have warped and look like they've been incredibly hot, a measly £1300 to replace after just 11,000 miles!

I had warped discs and they replaced under warranty... You should push for the same.

My rears starting making a noise, so I took it into Audi too
They told me I'd get them too hot and the pads were showing heat wear, so no go on warranty. They're pretty worn, and still work ok, so I'm just putting up with the noise and waiting for them to wear out before changing.
