But the bullet ! capristo ordered !!!
But the bullet ! capristo ordered !!!
So after much deliberating I finally ordered one this afternoon ! After following Ross's progress decided it was time to give the car the growl it needs ! Was talked out the akraprovic by jack at scuderia systems ! And decided on the capristo spent a lot on the car lately with new 4 digit plate the followed Glenn at Revolution and bought c7 Rs6 discs and calipers currently being painted red ! But decided I would never make the drive south for a jc weld fab so just gotta wait circa 8 wks

It's a shame you didn't opt for the JCWF system - they'll be able to ship for self-install once mine is finished prototyping. The car is back with them next week again for more tweaks after feedback from me (and others from AITP). They're totally committed to getting it perfect in sound and looks.
I'm sure you'll be very happy though of course - anything is better than the stock system!

What are your thoughts on the system so far Ross?
Does it boom when the valves open on the motorway?

There is a small amount of drone that they say they can dial out - it's only evident really at 1800rpm and under partial load (so 7th gear, 50mph accelerating slowly to 60mph) - it's there in non-sport mode although not unreasonable, and quite apparent (fairly unreasonable) in sport mode. As I say though they're confident they can get rid of this (and in fact make the system louder - several people commented that it wasn't as loud as they were expecting at AITP for example).RIV wrote:What are your thoughts on the system so far Ross?

The quality is exceptional and they're clearly committed to getting the system sounding and looking right so I'm still happy to help them achieve that

Re: But the bullet ! capristo ordered !!!
Think my biggest problem with any of these systems Ross was hearing one in real life ! In central Scotland the chance of finding any one of these systems is slim to none at best . I don't doubt the quality of jc weldfab in any way I had a milltek on my B7 and didn't mind it but they do look worn out after 6 months use ! And the capristo was probably considerably cheaper than the jc system and is still a quality product
Re: But the bullet ! capristo ordered !!!
Not sure if you are, so I'll caveat if the reference to 'worn' is drawn, but no way would a JCWF system look worn after 6 months. Miltek worn and JCWF worn is not apples and apples.Afsimba wrote:...I had a milltek on my B7 and didn't mind it but they do look worn out after 6 months use ! I doubt JCWF would be more money than Capristo... what was the capristo system?

Re: But the bullet ! capristo ordered !!!
The statement worn was referring to the surface that a milltek takes on after 6 months a years use ! Not relating in anyway to the jc system at all ! I got a storming price on the capristo that made it nearly milltek money and a no brainer for me

Re: But the bullet ! capristo ordered !!!
For the B7 platform I had a quote of £2690 + vat, + fitting, from Scuderia Systems and that was slightly cheaper than MRC quoted. So probably around £3.5k all in.neilparf wrote:Not sure if you are, so I'll caveat if the reference to 'worn' is drawn, but no way would a JCWF system look worn after 6 months. Capristo systems are lovely on the B7, just not £3.5k lovely in my opinion.

Don't want to quote figures online of what I bought it for but it was considerably lower than this more than 30%
