In my quest to find the perfect spec 2nd hand B8 and given the one top of my list at Guildford Audi sold recently.
I have stumbled across another of almost identical spec (bar the seats) at an independent dealer.

Any chance that any of you know - GK14 UZL

Have you checked new cars? Used cars are holding value so well, and new car contributions are so good currently that the gap is very small between brand new (group stock etc) and 'almost new' cars. In some instances, you can save £10k buying new INSTEAD of used.

I had the same conversation with the sales man at Slough Audi after I had a test drive in their demonstrator B8. He mentioned the contributions and discounts available from Audi. Although finding a brand new one to my desired spec is going to be few and far between.

Certainly something to bare in mind...

I bought that Guilford car and I really like the silver seats, I originally wanted black but am glad I have gone with the silver as it looks really smart and from what I have read it should be pretty straight forward keeping them clean. Like you I wanted a car that was fully loaded it options. 3 days into ownership I am loving the car....could be quicker mind you but you can't have everything I guess ☺

That was my thoughts also. The silver would break up what could be quite a dark interior. I'm also not that fussed on the "wing back" seats.
So come on then - How are you getting on with your new purchase and what are your first thoughts? How does it compare to previous?

Help sell the RS4 idea to me and steer me away for the "hyper hatch" brigade.

I personally really love the car, and am enjoying owning and driving it. To be honest, having had and S4 and RS6 a few years ago i kind of knew what to expect, it is one of those cars that doesn't really excel at anything in particular, but is a generally very good at everything which is what is so good about it. I really loved my M3, it was a fantastic drivers car, forget about all the comments from people saying the car is always trying to kill you as that is rubbish, i was genuinely very impressed with the amount of traction the M3 had, even in the wet, and the turn in was brilliant, even after 4 years of ownership i still really enjoyed driving it.....however My wife ended up driving it as much as i did as i needed to use her X5 to cart my dog around, and to put all my fishing gear in, so it was far from ideal in my situation. If i didn't have the dog or fishing in my life, if i am honest i would have bought the new M3 as it is a magnificent drivers car with more up to date technology.

The RS4 is an excellent car, which i am now able to drive and enjoy every day, i love the look of the car inside and out, and it is completely different to the car i have come from which makes a nice change. The build quality is unquestionable and the B&O sounds fantastic. It is taking a bit of getting used to inside as it does pretty much the same as the BMW but i am still finding my way around the MMI system.

In short i am really pleased with the car, i don't like the really light comfort steering at low speeds at all (but that is a personal thing) so use the individual setting with dynamic which seems to be a bit better, but still not ideal. The ride quality in comfort is good i think, dynamic is a bit hard for most of my local roads but again it is a personal thing. The performance is very good, but again this really depends what you are used to, it is certainly not effortless performance due to the lack of torque, but if you wind it up it goes pretty well and it puts the power down very efficiently with no fuss what so ever. I am still too new to the car to be testing the ultimate grip as it is totally different to my old m3. I went round a round-about the other day in the same way i would have in my M3 and just ended up with big under steer which i was surprised about, but perhaps i was not attacking it hard enough, i probably should have kept my foot down rather than feather the throttle. When attacking a country road yesterday it was amazing, it was a good job i was the only one in the car as i found myself laughing and chuckling to myself, it just gripped and gripped and gripped some more, and the gear changes, both up and down are truly intoxicating.

Best advice is think about what you really need and go and drive a few options, the RS4 is certainly right up there among the best and it does hold its value better than most of its opposition which is a bonus!

Just my opinion after a few days of ownership. Still looking forward to the end of the day so i can go for an extended drive home
