Hi Guy,

I have an electric garage door and wanted to see if there are some options when you don't have the optional homelink installed? I could use the key fob but wanted to see what else is about.

Cheers

Some guy has adapted a Samsung bluetooth headset and connected it to his electric garage door and then it is operated by bluetooth from his phone.
I know it sounds crazy but search on the interweb and all will be explained .

honemlink retrofit is a sunvisor with the buttons and a sender box which sits behind the front bumper, will also need coding I believe.

I'd be interested in a device that either plugs in 12v car socket of uses the phone as the new house has 2 electric gates and 3 elctric garage doors.

That looks promising but its a kickstarter project sot not actually avaialable yet and may not be. If does beome avaialve I willd ef have one....or 5.

I like the idea of a proximaty sensor soas you roll up to the front et its already opening, same with the gargae doors.

Thanks saw this but still the work required on the bluetooth headset seems to require a bit and therefore was looking for a pre made version which required a few screws.
