Hi guys,
How are you connecting your iPhones 6 to your stereo? I've tried Bluetooth and that worked but wanted to see what other options there are? I will have to retrofit I expect.
Cheers.

You have a couple of options -
Bluetooth, which I use which is pretty good
MMI Cable which fits in the glove box but you would have to keep plugging it in and out (I have an old 60g ipod in there for music)
3.5mm jack plug Aux cable, again, not good and not really worth considering unless you have no other options.
Sure someone else will be around to tell you of some more asap!
(PS - do you have connect? Open up the SD flap and if you have SIM in the middle you can put a sim in here. I have a 4G sim in there and use my phone just for calls and podcasts)

Thanks, I'm hoping there might be some charging / aux connection option which can retrofit into the arm rest. I will have to check to see if there is a SIM card slot, if there is can you stream Spotify ?

There's nothing arm rest related for the B8, all in the glovebox.
Only Spotify via your phone, the car does not support it natively.

As above. Bluetooth is the 'best' way. I use deezer on my iphone 6 and stream to the mmi with bluetooth. Also have the wifi hotspot setup so the iphone uses the cars 3g card for data then retransmits over wifi which the phone uses to actually receive deezer (and everything else obviously). Only then use the phone for voice / text etc.

+ 1 on the setup as inbuilt Connect system gets better 3G signal. I use Spotify in the same way. On a side note I've been trying Apple's new Music streaming (and offline storage) for the past couple of weeks and it appears to use a huge amount more memory on iPhone 6 than Spotify does - sound quality in the car is comparable on both services with B&O speakers as far as I could ascertain. Gone back to Spotify and ditched Apple Music.

Blutooth is the best way and I have a double mini USB charger plugged into the 12v socket under the arm rest so charge the phone while conenct via bluutooth. I stream audio and online content vi bluetooth including podcasts, audible and spotify but works excellent with iPhone music and full control on dash. 160Gb ipod in glovebox permenently connected.

I use the USB charge with a short (300mm) lightning cable for my phone and a USB cable for the wifes Samsung and both charge when on a journy.
3G SIM in dash is purely for data for car (google apps and wifi hotspot)
Of course, the phone is connected to the car and works as a phone too lol.
