Sutcliffe - jeeps - erm a bit boring as a presenter; But I think that film shows possibly why we bought RS4's

for everyday use; it is better - and for me; i just can't drive a Mercedes - all be it quicker on a perfectly dry road, more fun when you are looking to impress the police; especially in london!! it just looks dull as dishwater; my local mercedes dealer in west london plays drum and bass music over the tannoy thingy; mental.

not sold on the looks and no 4x4 in UK

there saloons look better than there estates where as the Audi estates look better than there saloons as a true RS should only be and Avant as the original was

The new Merc c an e classes are ugly. That saggy sad arse is horrid they've really ruined what was an OK looking car.

Then there's the whiff of old spice.

The Audi Avant - is something that Audi does really well. It's almost as if it's designed to be an avant before a saloon; that's why imho - I'm not a big fan of Audi Saloons.

Open the boot of the new C-Class estate and you'll see the wheel arches protruding into the back of the boot, significantly reducing space. Schoolboy error by MB!

As an all rounder, there's nothing out there which can beat the Avant.

He got it half right but im unsure now if his reference was to the B4 RS2 or the B5 RS4

THis is exactly the case, the Avant A4 is designed before the saloon witht he RS in mind hence a great fast estate. This was even more so witht the B8 as its an estate only, the B9 will also on be an estate as Audi have proved its sold well, if you were in the market for the car and you didn;t want an estate the RS5 was the choice, no need for AUdi to engineer a saloon.
