Has anyone got silver Alcantara/Leather in car is it any good with messy kids 2 year and 7 year old or would be better with darker colour interior or is alcantara easy to clean.

I'd avoid Alacantara or anything other than black leather if your kids are anything like as messy as mine
Chocolate in the folds of the cream/silver leather can stain, as can ribena or any other kids product with wild colours (i.e. most of them)
Indigo jeans will make a blue blur to it to
Avoid, avoid, avoid

TBH,

Even with a total ban on sweets.crisps, fruit, drinks and anything else that could mark the interior it is just amazing how it happens ....... did hear from a couple that left a full can of coke in a hot car over a weekend to come back with the contents sprayed over the car.. a real sticky mess.

Well at least the Audi leather interiors are fairly robust be black would be the way to go .... even with grown up kids.

Good luck.

PS. Sand gets every where.....so be on beach alert.

Had Moccha alcantera on VW R36 for 6 years, with kids - brilliant. Never a problem, although I do have strict "no food other than plain water" rules.

Now with my very lovely lunar silver leather I'm getting lots of brown leather belt transfer and general visible "dirt" plus missing the "cool,in summer, warm in winter" alcantera.

Next maybe an RS6 with exclusive alcantera in a slightly darker colour than silver. I'm in the car every day and black makes me feel dark and depressed .. So no black for me. But ... I'm still loving the RS4 so I have a couple of different cleaners which seem to be working. bowdens for general and then a oil based one for "deep clean" - would have to get the bottle to find name.

Vodka ... You'll have to change your make up routine. I make sure I do mine at home before I go out :ban:

Besides it's dangerous to do that in the car because it's a known fact that men can't multitask :boohoo:
