User Test - Armour All Shield Wax

Guys, I've got a panther black car AND OCD, so as you can imagine I am pretty hot on how to keep the thing clean. I have used most waxes from AutoGlym, Swisswax, Poorboys, etc etc. Someone who works at a Rolls Royce dealership recommended the ArmourAll Shield wax to me and after 10 days since application I can honestly say it has performed perfectly. Water beads off it, dust seems to fly off it and it appears easier to clean and dry with subsequent washes. I used it on the insides and outsides of my Rotors and it definitely has kept dust at bay and I managed to clean the insides with just a jetwash earlier. Beads like silicon covering.
Goes on and comes off easier than anything I have used before. WELL worth a try at £9 a tub.

Ive just bought the wheel shield but used the wax before, I'll report back on the wheel shield.
Cannot believe it has taken me 4 recent black cars to find this. Must be awesome on Riv and other lighter colours too. Main thing for me, no residue or white stains on black trim.

Sounds perfect Miles! The zero white bits is a problem with the black pack Matt rails, so I'm going to give this a go.
Is it 100% 'polish' free, and is purely a topcoat after polishing?

K, I used it with AutoGlym Super Resin Polish on top but soon realised you dont need to. I ahve put 3 treatments on in the past 3 weeks and everything is just beading off it, no marks and as I said no white bits...! It is basically a silicon type wax that gives a Rain X like coating to the car, seems durable and certainly shiny!!
Give it a go mate. The Yanks love this stuff!

Why don't you get it detailed once a year ?
Saves hours polishing, blacks always going to swirl up no matter how careful you are Looking after it,I know only too well having had a black for years

Thanks for confirming, that's what I normally do, so I wanted to check. I do a working of SRP to rid the swirls and then seal/coat with a wax. I'm pretty much out of my Swissvax, and was about to try some AG HDwax, but given Miles recs this I'll give it a go.

Maybe thats where I went wrong then!!
Also have the High Gloss Protection from AutoGlym which I used on top of SRP but the ArmourAll on its own gives a better result.
I detail mine about 3 times a year, snow foam, claybar once, wash, claybar twice, wash then a combination of wax and polish. Haven't done the RS4 yet as only had it a month or so but my Black Range Rover before would be like glass. The Clay Gloves from Halfords
http://www.halfords.com/motoring-travel ... -clay-mitt are well recommended and used to bring the RR paint up a treat.

That's all good for maintenance, but you can't beat a good machine polish with a crystal serum treatment for long term longevity

Thanks for the tip-off Miles. I'm due to give the car it's first deep polish and wax, so I'll reprt back once it's done.
