OK, first proper post so be nice...!
After just a few weeks some beep beep beep beep w*nker (

) has managed to crack my front air splitter. I have ordered a new one from Audi (only £37?!) but wanted to know if anyone has replaced theirs and what advice they can give?

£37 seems unbelievable for anything from Audi!
Mines got quite s few stone chips on now that stand out because it's silver with what looks like a black undercoat.
Was thinking of replacing at some point and quite viable if that cheap.

Not sure what you think you are replacing as its just a painted section of the bumper.

That's exactly what I thought. When I got my car, I asked for a silver splitter, they said it's the whole bumper at £1000

All, thanks for the replies,
I will let you know if Amersham Audi have got this correct when I pick the part up later today. Like you I am slightly apprehensive that this is not just a bolt and washer (no nut obviously) for £37 - await next message and we will see what transpires.

This. The bumper/splitter is a single piece and simply painted 'Matt Alu' when the option is specced. Here's how the bumper is made up...
God knows what your dealer thinks they've ordered for you!

What's in the baggy (no2 in the diagram),

"1 set fixing parts for bumper - 8K0098623"
OP - Having had another look at the descriptions that accompany the diagram, I reckon your dealer has ordered you Part Number 22 which is described as...
"front spoiler - 8T0807061"

Thanks, that's a great help KM - they have ordered part no 22 on your diagram - otherwise known as magic beans...!!
They are now saying the silver splitter is integral - "a mere £740 odd quid unpainted sir"
Might be time to see how good the insurance company is...

You could always have it wrapped? Much cheaper than buying a whole new bumper and having it painted.
