Just Saying Hello - New RS4 collected Friday 6th

Hi guys,

Just saying hello. My first RS4 having come from a series of also rans!

530d Touring M Sport, CLS 320, ML320, A4 Avant 3.0tdi, XFS Premium, X5, Porsche 911 (997), Range Rover Vogue SE...

Hit 40 on Friday and picked this baby up (ex Demo, 3500 miles). Only done 25 miles so far due to rugby watching, drinking and family parties, but so far it is infectious!

The Sports Exhaust sounds fantastic!! Its like a fast Porsche that you can take your family & dog in!

Got things I need to work out how to use like the Lane Assist, Parking Assist (using the blue boxes...), Audi Connect (bought a Sim card and put it in but need to understand what it does...), etc

Anyhow I have always been an active forum member even going back to my Audi TT days then kmpowell was on there too...!

Blimey, long time no speak Miles, it must be circa 12 years!

Since my TT's (Sold the coupe in 2001 and the roadster sold in 2003) ive been through an S2000, TVR T350, VX220 turbo, MKV R32, Mini JCW, MKII 16v Golf GTi, BMW 123d coupe, BMW 1M, Mini Factory JCW, A6 TDi S-Line Avant and now the RS4. The last two due to my first family addition, where I went all sensible on the A6 for a bit, but got bored and had to get back into something fast.

How have you ended up in the RS, and how are you finding it?

It was 2003/04 that I had my TT, you were very active on that forum mate. Putting on my flame retardant suit.... 'I loved those TT's'!!

Anyhow, here goes since the TT I've had.....

Boxster, Range Rover P38, A4 Avant, Another TT, A6 saloon, Merc CLK Cab, A4 Avant s-line, Cooper S, Merc ML Sport, Discovery 3, X5, F10 530d, Audi Q7 4.2tdi s-line, Jag XF Sport, X5, A4 Allroad, 911 (997), Range Rover Vogue SE 2010......

The RR was too unreliable though from a dealer. Bought in the summer, ran for 6 months, sold 2 weeks ago in the snow for £750 more than I paid. Was looking at CLS Shooting Brake, Cayennes etc but have always wanted an RS4 avant. Went to my local dealer, their demonstrator was up for sale, drove it, got hooked.... signed my life away..... here I am!!

Been reading the forum, seems a lively lot!

3x MkIV R32's (many moons ago), more recently, a couple of 335 d's, a 2.0 tdi Quattro Sline Black Ed, then the RS4......

I've specced the same colour and wheels. I've specced red brake callipers too. Now wondering wether I should have after seeing yours!
I've got at least 3 months to wait now.............roll on June!
