Audi shoul dbe able to advise by calling 'Customer Services' or your supplying dealer no?

Admittedly I'm guessing but those seem like logical answers.....

Past experience with various cars tells me car owners on forums are usually the fastest for information access.

Just curious.

Bought another used car recently and have been busy verifying and restoring stuff. That got me to thinking about the RS4. I know the actual number because I have the registered papers but just wondering where it is.

After reading this and your other thread about Engine Oil, I'm going to take a punt and guess that you're in/from the US?

When I had my 1M the only forum was 1addicts, which is a US based forum. I was constantly amazed at how the yanks obsessed with the stuff us Brits really couldn't give a <beep> about. Among other things, like spending thousands of dollars to get a few grammes weight saving, they needed to know how EVERYTHING worked right down to the intricate details. Some of the guys took things apart (things you'd never ever see or know about unless you went digging around) and reassembled, out of nothing but pure curiosity.

Your posts re engine oil and the engine number reminded me of that a bit. :nodder:
