How long has everyone waited for their cars?

Congrats, what spec have you gone for?

If it's a pretty normal spec, bear in mind there are plenty of new & unregistered cars in the network, available for immediate delivery which means you won't have to wait.

6 months I think I was ! But there was extra delay due to
Exclusive paint !! Sure most of the guys here amended spec 2/3 /4
Weeks after deal done !! No real regrets but still miss buckets a bit
Even though super sports prob better option and possible pano roof

I've been told 5 - 6 months at the moment. The sales guy did say he quoted that time because the only call he wants to make to me is that my car is going to be early.

I was initially told 16-18 weeks but the car came through in 12. Similar spec to yours with the addition of tech pack, B & O and side assist. I didn't go buckets, calipers or advanced key and had the mirrors sprayed black as this wasn't an option at the time. My car is Prism and the mirrors look great, I'm sure you'll be pleased with your choice and would be very surprised if you had to wait quite so long. In terms of your dealer, mine called me every few weeks with an update, which I quite appreciated.

Mine was 7 months due to ceramic brakes, and I think custom paints/interiors add a similar time
I'd guess yours would be circa 3 months based on discussions I've had over RS6's as they're about that long currently and I bekive they through the same facility

IMO for £65 its worth adding the Hill Hold Assist, I didn't think it was but now i've used the HHA its well worth it.

I reckon what Graeme4130 said, about 3 months, just in time for the SUMMER.

I waited 10 months for the Exclusive paint and ceramics, but well worth it

Oh forgot to mention the B&O aswell.

I almost went for the Prism silver. The other halfs car is silver so wanted something different to it.

Doesnt the automatix gearboc hold the car anyway on hills? What advantage does the HHA over this? Like you say for extra £65 its definately worth it if it is useful

Order mine 6th of January, dealer has been given a build date and they are looking at a delivery of week 12, much faster than I expected. Now I've said this it will end up being delayed!!!, but 3 months cant be sniffed at.

Didn't have anything too exotic specced though.

Thanks for the info LeapingDeere. I imagine Audi builds these is batches so if your has already been allocated a build them I guess mine will have to wait until the next batch

I'm not an expert in this dark art (Im sure others on here are more learned) but my salesman has had lead times run from 10 weeks to 7 months on these and he didn't know why. I suspect Quattro Gmbh work to their own rules in Neckarsulm. I guess it's all about luck and hoping the factory has the components in stock and has empty space on the production line when you order it.

The better dealers that trade a fair few RS models tend to place speculative orders into the system, that, up to a certain date, remain 'spec changeable' (assuming you don't go ceramics or custom this or that)
That way, you might go into a dealer that has an impending build slot already, that could then potentially say 6 weeks or so assuming that's when 'spec changable' becomes 'spec fixed' and they just sell it on as a stock car

HHA means that you never have to touch the handbrake ("fingerbrake"). Stop at traffic lights, press the footbrake once and the brakes stay on until you hit the gas pedal. For £65 it's a no-brainer.

With the Auto box you have to always keep your foot on the brake or you will creap forward, HHA is great at lights or in traffic.

The dealer did have 2 speculative orders but both of them were past the spec changeable point. Let's hope the guys at Neckarsulm are tired of putting r8s and rs6s together and fancy doing some rs4s
