Discount History

I've been reading this forum with interest since I broke my B7 ... viewtopic.php?f=35&t=113140.

But now the insurance company have agreed to the repairs I can stand down on a B8. Or can I?

I see the great discounts on the B8, along with the Audi finance deal, and it makes me wonder what the history of the discounts is. When in the run of the B8 did these start to appear? From day one, six months in, or only recently?

I will have a great car to sell once the repairs are complete, but do I move now for a B8 or wait for the B9? What are "early adopters" discounts like on the RS4's? Has anyone tracked this?

The b8 RS4 is going out of production this summer, so the deals on those are at their best about now, and there's lot of dealers with new stock too, if you're prepated to have had someone else spec your car

Re the b9. From my understanding, that's a few years away yet, and if it's anything like the b8, there won't be much initial discount available
