Gruppe M Intake
Gruppe M Intake
Stock, which all owners are familiar with.
Re: Gruppe M Intake
Package, placed next to car for size reference; some of us might want to keep the box and store the stock intake at home.
Re: Gruppe M Intake
Quite nicely packed with bubble wrap and peanut foam.
Re: Gruppe M Intake
The full works, laid out in installed position with reference to one another.

Re: Gruppe M Intake
Looks very nice, lets hope it doesn't give the car a drop in power due to heat soak like the last one
Re: Gruppe M Intake
Intake cover(not sure if that's the actual name)
I emailed Gruppe M directly as well as the local distributor not to attach the metal plaque with the serial number onto the carbon piece, as is their usual practice because I don't like branding on my car. They have very kindly obliged and supplied the plaque separately.
Close up of the front and back of intake cover.
Re: Gruppe M Intake
Always enjoy seeing carbon fiber in three dimensional complex shapes. How the joints are done etc etc
Re: Gruppe M Intake
Intake coming apart now.....
Re: Gruppe M Intake
And one side is done.
Re: Gruppe M Intake
Intake chambers(?)
Kind of disappointed at first that it's not a one piece construction. But later found out the reason why that is so. To be explained later......
Rubberised mouth because this will need to be snug fitted to the intake tray.

Re: Gruppe M Intake
The filters. I guess made by K&N.
I believe the meshing is metallic. The filters are quite heavy due to the metal K&N cap and meshing. Feels like a quality product.
Re: Gruppe M Intake
The adaptors to attach the filters to the intake chambers. I can't figure out if it's metal or rubber.
Re: Gruppe M Intake
Friction fitted the tray and chamber together for overall impression.
