New to the forum, not long sold my RS3, as was slightly small, so driving round in the wifes GTD golf. Today though i luckily managed to order up the new limited edition RS4. Ordered in Suzuka grey with jet grey contrast interior. Has most bits and pieces on it so i never had to add any. Slightly gutted they don't come with a black grille but something ill change down the line.
Anyway gets delivered march/april
Anything i need to look out for with car? Please tell me
Its brakes are better than the 3
Cheers kenny
There is often the debate around Ceramics vs. Steel brakes. I have the latter and find them absolutely fine. I had TTRS (same brakes as RS3 I believe) and they used to lock up/get ABS working very easily, The driveway to my gym has been a brake bench mark for the past few cars I've had and the RS4 stops quicker on the same surface without ABS kicking in. That might be down to weight but I am totally happy with Steel disks. Those with Ceramics will probably argue otherwise but although Ceramics may offer less fade etc when pushed I've never had any "oh f***" moments in mind and I do drive like a <beep> sometimes and the car makes up for my lack of ability.
Re: engine failures...I've heard of 1. I have "knocking" suspension but Audi have deemed OK so I just enjoy the car and it's foibals.
I've averaged 18.2 mpg in the 8000 miles I've had it but rarely do long journeys.
You'll need 10mm spacers all-round to complete the look. as they just make the wheels fill the arches better.
You'll love the car.
