Tax disc removal

Post by Moonmonkey831 » Sat Nov 08, 2014 9:51 pm

I seem to be the only person who has removed theirs. I did mine on the first day you could legally. No car where I live seems to have.

Am I alone?

:) couldn't wait either. First thing I also did when I picked my car up was remove the dealer Sticker from the rear window as well.

Glad I'm not the only one. Cheers!

Mine ran out at the end of october so I left it in place until the date had expired then removed it. Shame as it was quite a nice black one with the logo etched on the back.

As did mine, but it was removed on Oct.1st. As others have stated, I hate having things making it look untidy like a dealer sticker or the RFL. I was honestly delighted when the DVLA announced the changes.
It's all torque talk.

Bit late for me - I lost at least three tax disc's from the 211 whilst bombing down the motorway. The windscreen is annoyingly a fraction shorter than diameter of the tax disc. In the end had to get a motorbike type holder and bolt it to the roll bar. DVLA were getting suspicious that I was selling them or something.

They're a pain in the arse. Especially where I tell porkies to the wife about running costs

Graeme, man maths will only ever be understood by us men. It is that simple. And your post is grammatically incorrect.

My tax disc came off straight away too, haven't gotten around to cleaning off the sticky sh*t tho.

I love man maths lol

My logic - remap = better fuel economy (as if!) and buying uprated 380mm discs will be cheaper in the long run because I'll just be replacing the rotor...
Fast car = better quality of life! priceless.
I can't think of a sensible reason for the zorst tho

Bank account doesn't agree haha

I tried once to explain how the ceramic disc option was better, but in the end I had to pull my trump card on her ;

hahaha brilliant.

justification for uprated brakes: less likely to end up in a hedge ;) ..in theory at least!
