Hi guys, I am not using this to sell my car as I dont want to sell it, but work could move into me having to think about it. I have been on Pistonheads and Audi used, and I am struggling to really feel how much mine is worth? Pistonheads is a little worrying as none to have be selling?

Do the options really make any difference or is it a matter of treating it as a standard car? I tried the webuyanycar and it made me feel very depressed!

Wondered if anyone has sold a B8 yet ?

(still crying over the 1M going, now that was a car that held it's money)!

Sold my 1M in the summer for £44k with only 5k miles on the clock to buy my RS4. I now see 1Ms with 30k miles + selling for the same money. However I'm over the moon with my RS4 and think its a far better all rounder and although I know it will not hold its value like the 1M I glad I made the change.

ahh man I remember your 1M it was so Mint! Is that all the miles you did? I felt guilty as ran up 57000 in mine, just loved diving it. I got 31500 for it which I was really happy with. Still looking for an E46 CSL but such heavy money now for less than 80K on the clock.

Yeah had a CSL from new, paid £60k for it 2003, lost loads on it when I sold it in 2005. That's one I should of kept but still love this RS4 the best out of all my cars so far

Strip the ceramics and Akra and swap them to me then you can get a "normal" trade in price for yours...

I'd just look at the asking prices of the private sales and pitch it around there, nothing else you can do.

I'm toying with the idea of selling my RS5 but prices are all over the place as you say, my save in grace is the options I have but it is the wrong time to be selling a car in my opinion.

Interesting topic as I'm looking at used B8s as probably looking to buy one in the next year. You are right everyday I look on different online selling platforms and the difference in prices is amazing. It's hard to gauge what is a good average price and spec to look at when buying.

So Im currently perusing the market myself after a few years out of an RS seat....I'm tempted to get back in... or go down the A6 Avant bi tdi route......

I agree prices are all over the place so being out of touch a little on specs and colour combos.... what are the "must have's" on this baby for me to make an offer on one now you guys have had them around for a year or two?

I am looking at an RS6 and mine books £42k trade in and retail at £45k
That's white 13k miles with everything but buckets and ceramics

Is there a right time to be selling a car and do options make that much of a difference as many spec RSs with the essential, value keeping ones?

The only bad time to sell a private car is Dec or Aug. unless it's a cabriolet or something obscure or 500PS RWD when it's snowing! A B8 will sell well all year round. At the right price

B8s will not fare well depreciation wise. They were being sold at 18% discount to its lets not forget!
