USB charging port for mobiles

Hi,

With the B8, where's the USB charging port for mobile phones?

Is it placed under the armrest?

Or inside the dashboard in the passenger side?

No such thing. AMI connection in glovebox which will also charge.

There are 2 lighter sockets thought, one in front of the gearbox, the other in the arm rest (or at least mine has). I've also got a didly little charger socket from Apple that outputs the power required to charge an ipad (or my iphone even quicker). I don't bother with the AMI socket. Its a PITA to get to for starters.

You can also get a "universal phone cradle" to clip onto the thing in the armrest - it is basically a flat rubberised plate with a re-radiating antenna and a USB socket into which you can plug a charging cable of your choice.
