Before and after remap

Post by N7BSE » Thu Jul 31, 2014 12:07 pm

Hi guys, currently sat in the nice waiting area in DMS using the free wifi. I have to say it's spotless and is full of awesome motors (Mainly Porsche's) :-)

So here is a pic of my car on the rolling road with the Akropovic on before the remap is put back on. Posted 405BHP which is pants. Apparently Audi's tend to come off short from what Audi quote! Same as their MPG figures then!

Some will be lost through the drivetrain and they are going to adjust the rolling road so it can put the power down a bit easier (it's taken from the front wheels).

Then will let you know what the MAP produces, and also will post a sound clip of the exhaust on the rollers as well.

Let us know if you feel any difference too, I think APR quote something daft like 4 ft lbs and 7 BHP.

Car looks good tho! :kissmyrings:

Well thats a shock! So without the DMS remap we got 404BHP, with we got 439BHP. The torque (I cant remember the figures exactly) but has risen by 51ib ft, and really noticeable driving it back and so makes the remap worth doing. However after me pyaing for it the car isnt even running 450BHP as quoted for the standard RS4. Akropovic was supposed to add 9BHP so I was expecting the 490BHP figure . Still I really enjoyed my drive home, and still think it's worth doing, would like to know who has a standard RS4 and have had it tested. Bad Audi!

Will put some pics and rolling road video up. Next week MRC for KW swap out.

Dyno figures can vary wildly for different brands of dyno, and how they're configured, I wouldn't worry too much about it. You could put it on the amd or mrc dyno and make a lot more or a lot less power, unless you take the engine out and put it on a engine dyno you won't know exactly what it's doing. At least you've got a healthy improvement over stock :)

Ah ok, not that then really.

I know tuning company MRC are very keen on Tesco Momentum 99 over any other fuel and constantly get more BHP from using it. I have to say that previously I was a V-Power only user but have for the last two months been very happy with trying out Momentum 99 and only now use V-power when I can't get the other. BP and Esso super unleaded doesn't really go that well with the RS4 engine.

Love the exclusive colour by the way, was that purchased from Bramley Motor Company?

Great result but saddened if a stock RS4 is so much lower power figure than expected...

+1. Momentum99 works pretty well for me too. MRC got a few extra PS's out of mine when switched from V-B'stard...

Mine made Audi's claimed power of 444HP(actually 443.938). I thought to have one done before I started adding minor bolt ons. Definitely can use a tune but don't really want to touch it till after warranty.

Dyno figures will vary from dyno to dyno so I always go to the same one for reference.
